Our mission is to foster connections among modern South Asian women worldwide, inspiring them to learn from and grow with one another as they collectively navigate the complexities of modern life.

Ann Koppuzha, founder and editor of Modern Desi Women, created Modern Desi Women because she saw a void in the media landscape. She craved lifestyle content about South Asian women - she wanted to know how they decorated their apartments ad homes, what they ate, how they managed their money, worked out, and navigated their careers and families. She also wanted to connect and learn from other South Asian women who were experiencing the same day-to-day life struggles of building a life, a family, and a career.
